Delete Your Account

If you would like to delete your My Memory Verse account and associated personal data, you can submit a deletion request using the instructions below.

What will be deleted

When your deletion request is processed after verification, My Memory Verse removes account-associated data that is stored with your signed-in Community account, including:

Account / profile information (such as your Community username)
Signed-in cloud backup data associated with your account (for example Favorites, custom verses, reading streak data, and synced practice stats when present in your backup)

Shared Bible verses you posted may be anonymized so the community can continue benefiting from Scripture, rather than being removed entirely.

Favorites and memorization progress that remain only on your device are not removed by an account deletion request. Sign out does not delete your account, and it does not erase local data on your device.

What happens after deletion

Account deletion requests are processed manually. Your account information and signed-in cloud backup data will be removed after verification.

This website and the in-app request flow do not delete your account instantly when you send the email. Sending the request opens the process; support completes removal after verifying the request.

Sign out alone does not delete your account. You must send a deletion request for account removal to be processed.

How to request deletion

You can request deletion from the My Memory Verse app (Settings → Community Feed → Request Account Deletion), or by emailing support directly.

Open your email app.
Send a message to mymemoryverseapp@gmail.com with the subject Account Deletion Request - My Memory Verse.
Include your Community username (if you have one) and any details that help verify the account belongs to you.
Send the email so the request can be processed after verification.

If your device cannot open email automatically, copy the address above and send the request manually with that subject line.

Important

Sign out does not delete your account.
Favorites and memorization progress stay on this device until you delete them locally.
Shared Bible verses may be anonymized rather than fully removed from the Community Feed.
