1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using My Memory Verse, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the My Memory Verse mobile application and related services provided by Redeemer Apps (collectively, the “Service”).
By downloading, accessing, or using My Memory Verse, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
By downloading, installing, accessing, or using My Memory Verse, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree with these Terms, you must not use the Service.
My Memory Verse is an application designed to help users read Scripture, remember Scripture, practice Scripture memorization, and build a consistent reading and memorization habit.
Depending on the features available in your version of the app, you may be able to:
My Memory Verse is published by Redeemer Apps. Feature availability may vary by device, platform, account status, and app version.
You are responsible for using the app in accordance with applicable laws and these Terms.
You agree to use My Memory Verse only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with the intended use of the Service, including Scripture reading, memorization, practice, and respectful Community Feed participation.
Certain features require signing in with Google. Google Sign-In is optional for many core reading, Favorites, and practice features, but is required for Community Feed actions that need an authenticated account, such as sharing verses, hearting community posts, reporting a display name, submitting eligible leaderboard results, and syncing signed-in cloud backup data where available.
Authentication is handled through Google Sign-In and Firebase Authentication. My Memory Verse does not create or store a separate password for your Community account.
If you create a Community username, that username is your permanent public name in the Community Feed. Usernames must be unique and cannot be changed later through the app. Please keep your username respectful and appropriate for a Christian community.
You are responsible for activity associated with your signed-in account and for maintaining appropriate control over the Google account you use to sign in.
The Community Feed allows signed-in users to share Bible verses with the community according to the functionality provided in the app. Shared content may include verse text, verse reference, translation information, username, avatar styling, timestamps, and community interactions such as hearts.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit to the Community Feed.
You must not use the Community Feed to submit content that is:
Before sharing for the first time under the current Community Guidelines / Terms version, users must acknowledge the Community Guidelines and Terms of Service in the app. Community sharing is also subject to the app’s current technical limits and validation rules, which may include daily share limits, duplicate-post restrictions, username requirements, and content checks.
My Memory Verse / Redeemer Apps may review reported content, remove or anonymize content that violates these Terms or the intended purpose of the Community Feed, restrict or suspend accounts, and terminate accounts when appropriate.
Moderation decisions may be made to protect users and maintain a respectful Scripture community. We do not promise that every report will result in removal, and we do not guarantee a specific response time.
The app may also apply automated checks, such as blocked-language filtering for usernames, to help reduce abuse.
Signed-in users may report Community Feed posts and inappropriate display names using the Report action on a community verse. Reports may include a selected reason and limited post details needed for review.
Reporting helps us review potential abuse. Submitting a report does not guarantee that content will be removed or that any particular action will be taken. Reporter identity is not shown publicly in the Community Feed.
Community Guidelines for participation are available on the Community Guidelines page. The current app does not provide an in-app feature to block other users.
As between you and My Memory Verse / Redeemer Apps, you retain ownership of content you create and submit, to the extent you own it under applicable law.
By intentionally submitting content to the Community Feed, you grant My Memory Verse / Redeemer Apps a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and otherwise use that content solely as needed to operate, maintain, improve, and provide the Community Feed and related Service features.
This license is limited to operating the Service. It does not mean that My Memory Verse owns your posts. If your account is deleted, shared Bible verses you posted may be anonymized so the community can continue benefiting from Scripture, rather than being removed entirely, as described on the Delete Account page.
You agree that you will not:
My Memory Verse may display Bible text from third-party sources and freely licensed translations to support reading, Favorites, Add Verse lookup, Practice Session, and Community Feed features.
Translations currently supported for Add Verse lookup include World English Bible (WEB), King James Version (KJV), American Standard Version (ASV), Young’s Literal Translation (YLT), Darby Bible Translation (DBY), Douay-Rheims Bible (DRB), and Ang Biblia 1905 (Tagalog) (ADB1905). WEB is identified in the app as a public-domain translation.
Redeemer Apps does not claim ownership of third-party Bible translations. Bible texts remain subject to their respective rights, licenses, and source terms. Availability of a translation through a lookup provider does not transfer ownership of that text to My Memory Verse or to users.
Certain features may be available through in-app purchases. My Memory Verse currently offers a Premium unlock (also described in the app as Unlock Practice Session) as a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited Practice Session use across Practice Session modes, without the free-practice limits and rewarded-ad refresh flow that apply to free use.
On Android, purchases are processed through Google Play Billing. My Memory Verse does not receive or store your payment card or billing information.
Pricing shown in the app is provided through the applicable app store at the time of purchase. Purchases may be subject to the terms, policies, and refund procedures of the applicable app store.
Premium entitlement may also enable related Premium-gated features where implemented, such as practice-stats cloud sync and Premium leaderboard participation.
My Memory Verse uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. The current implementation uses optional rewarded ads that may be offered when free Practice Session limits for a mode have been reached, so users can unlock additional practice.
The app is not ad-free for free users who choose to watch rewarded ads. Premium unlock removes the free-practice limits and the rewarded-ad refresh path for Practice Session use, as described in the app.
Advertising partners such as Google may collect or process certain information in accordance with their own policies and applicable consent choices. For more information about data practices, see our Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.
The Service may rely on third-party services required to provide certain functionality. Depending on the features you use, this may include:
These Terms do not replace the Privacy Policy. Details about how information is collected, used, shared, and handled are described in the Privacy Policy.
Some My Memory Verse features are designed to work locally on your device, including Favorites, custom verses, reading progress, streaks, achievements, and free Practice Session progress that is stored on-device.
Other features require an internet connection, including Community Feed loading and sharing, Google Sign-In, cloud backup sync, leaderboards, Bible translation lookup for Add Verse, in-app purchases, and rewarded ads.
Offline availability does not mean every feature works without a network connection.
We may update the app, change features, add or remove functionality, or modify how the Service works from time to time. Availability may vary by device, platform, region, account status, or technical conditions.
The Service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, network issues, third-party outages, or other technical reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access to Community features or an account when we reasonably believe it is appropriate, including in cases of:
Not every violation automatically results in permanent termination. The response may depend on the nature and severity of the conduct and the information available to us.
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may also request account deletion according to the process described below and on the Delete Account page.
You can request deletion of your My Memory Verse Community account and associated data according to the process on our Delete Account page.
In the app, you can also start a request from Settings → Community Feed → Request Account Deletion, or by emailing mymemoryverseapp@gmail.com.
Account deletion requests are processed manually after verification. Sign out alone does not delete your account. Local Favorites and memorization progress that remain only on your device are not removed by an account deletion request. Shared Bible verses you posted may be anonymized rather than fully removed from the Community Feed.
For the current deletion process and what is removed, see Delete Account.
The My Memory Verse application, branding, design, software, and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws and remain the property of Redeemer Apps or its licensors.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of the app, branding, or original materials. You may use the Service only as permitted by these Terms and applicable law.
Third-party Bible translations, Google services, AdMob, Firebase, Play Store materials, and other third-party content or services remain subject to their own rights and terms. Redeemer Apps does not claim ownership of those third-party materials.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. My Memory Verse / Redeemer Apps do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or free of harmful components, or that all content will always be available or accurate.
Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, My Memory Verse / Redeemer Apps will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service.
To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability arising out of or related to the Service will be limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid for Premium features through the Service in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) zero if you have not paid for Premium features, except where a different limitation or minimum remedy is required by applicable law.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those cases, the limitations apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms on this page.
If changes are material, we may provide additional notice through appropriate means where applicable, such as in-app notice or an update to this website. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted means you accept the revised Terms, except where applicable law requires a different process.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, shared, and handled in connection with My Memory Verse. These Terms address use of the Service; the Privacy Policy addresses privacy practices.
Questions about these Terms can be directed to My Memory Verse at the official support email.
